Antireflection coatings


Antireflection coatings on optical elements make an important contribution to the optimisation of complex optical systems. DDO-Strichplatten und Dünnschicht GmbH provides a broad range of standard coatings for reflection-reduction adapted to each application:

V-Coating (MgF2) - Optimised to a centroid wavelength (e. g. 550 nm) single layers reduce the residual reflection of the glass surface from ca. 4 % to under 1.5 %, e. g. on N-BK 7.

V-Coating - Also optimised for a narrow spectral range the specific optimised V-Coatings reduce the residual reflection to under 0.2 % in the specified range.

Broad-band coatings - For a wide spectral range (e. g. 450 - 650 nm) the residual reflection typically will be optimised to under 0.4 % in the specified range.

Multilayer antireflection coatings - For a wide spectral range (e. g. 400 - 700 nm) the residual reflection typically will be optimised to under 0.5 % in the specified range.

Special antireflection coatings - according to customers specification.
